We had a great first day of May in preschool!

Click on the link to check out the video of a ladybug emerging that Mrs. Dose happened to capture! It happens so quickly, we usually miss it. It was exciting to be able to watch it on the smart board later in the day...

Then...check out the HUGE moth that was perched on the door to the EC wing. It hung out here until almost 11:00 today, so we got to "visit" many times!

We had a few minutes this morning before heading to chapel. Good old fashion legos are great for improving small motor control.  And...we did a great job taking good care of them, doing our best to keep all the pieces on the table!

We noticed that a new month, May, started yesterday.  So, our April pie graph had been filled in!  We all decided that yellow (sunny) had the most, and that April and March looked very close to the same (but not quite).

We headed to a FUN chapel led by Jennie Williamson. We sang, we danced, and we loved getting to see some of our older siblings!

Off to move some more on the preschool playground. Some of us may have been worn out from the concert!

Time for small groups (centers)!

First I read the book "The Very Impatient Caterpillar"...

Then, we followed step by step instructions to first draw a butterfly. Each friend then expressed creativity as he/she chose how to color his/her beautiful butterfly!

Each friend improved hand-eye coordination and social skills as he/she could choose to create on his/her own, with a friend, or with a group using magnatiles!

Kinetic sand is still a HIT! We LOVED getting to smash, squish, and build with this sand that forms, but also "melts" in your hands!

We headed outside to get out our Wednesday wiggles!

See you tomorrow!
