Happy Fri...I mean Wednesday ;o)
Cody sure had a blast with mat man! May I introduce...
"Donut Man"!
We had fun and improved skills needed for writing as we painted beautiful fall leaves!
Many were excited to see geoboards had emerged again! Great for problem solving, small motor control, and forming shapes!
To wrap up free choice we played "pick a card, any card"! I held 6 cards in my hand (upside down). One friend at a time got the chance to pick 1 card from my hand. On that card was a positional word. He/she showed the class, I read the word (some of us tried to sound it out first), then gave him/her an instruction using that positional word! Understanding spatial relationships, following directions in relation to proximity is an early math skill!
We enjoyed chapel led by Pastor Fieberkorn...he reminded us about Martin Luther, and how over 500 hundred year ago he taught that we are all saved by God through grace!
We were so happy to go right outside after chapel today...in preparation for our PaRtY!
Time for our Fall Harvest Party #2!
Everyone was super excited and couldn't wait for games to start!
But first...a yummy snack of mini cheese balls, krispy treats, and pumpkins (cutie oranges)!
Then, our friends enjoyed listening to a Pete the Cat book while snack was being cleaned up!
Finally game time...we bowled right over some candy corn!
Yikes...some spider ring toss was on the agenda!
We played fall BINGO, using caramels as markers! We were excited to hear that there are some caramels in the goody bags that are going home in backpacks today (if note here yesterday)!
We created beautiful art with "magic" leaves! Ask your child what made them magic!
We wrapped up our party, spending a little time with Corduroy!
A BIG thank you to Mrs. Bottoms, Mrs. Taylor, Mr. Kulp, and Mr. Moore for coming and helping out with the party!
After all the party excitement, we enjoyed playing outside on the parking lot playground...
I guess all that partying wore them out ;o)
Grant has gotten quite good at photography...
We'll be back on Tuesday, 11/2!!!
See you then!
