Happy Friday from Mrs. Mudd's Class...

We had the best time expressing creativity and improving small motor control while building with "candy"!

Lainey and Madelyn worked ALL morning on this fun "Dinosaur Land"!

Mrs. Mudd brought with her 7 items. These items she brought today all had something to do with Candy Construction!  All 7 were covered with a towel, then 2 taken away!  What was missing? I couldn't even fool them one time, we did a great job of recognizing and recalling (an early cognitive skill).

Rainy weather sent us to the commons to get our bodies moving! We sure do love a good "freeze dance" song, especially when it's a Christmas one!!!

Lincoln picked a great book for his mom to read to us today, as our guest reader! If you haven't read "The Leaf Thief"...it's a good one!

We LOVED our free choice Friday in the classroom!

What can you create with our interlocking circles? A great way to improve our problem solving skills, sharing skills, perseverance, and creativity!

Creating on a blank "canvas" is the best...

Or one last day to paint turkeys or owls for Thanksgiving!

Since it was still quite wet and muddy outside, we enjoyed some Christmas dancing songs to get the wiggles out!

During Jesus time today we watched a God's Story video reminding us that Advent is the time that we prepare for Jesus!

Have a great Thanksgiving...

Thursday, November 20, 2025

Thanks for stopping by our Thursday!

The "candy construction" building set arrived for the season.  We had the best time expressing creativity and improving hand-eye coordination while building with "candy"!

Mrs. Mudd brought with her 7 items. These items she brought today all had something to do with Candy Construction!  All 7 were covered with a towel, then 2 taken away!  What was missing? I couldn't even fool them one time, we did a great job of recognizing and recalling (an early cognitive skill).

We headed to chapel led by Mrs Helmkamp. We learned that what God really wants is for us to love Him and to love our neighbor. We helped her place a few pictures in each category, then she reminded us that if we love one another, then we are also showing love to God!

We had a tiny shift in our schedule so we could celebrate our Charlie Brown Thanksgiving later in the morning. So, we had a blast playing the "spider" game. Ask your kiddo how it's done!

There was fun to be had...at our Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast!!!

Snoopy even joined in on the fun...

First, we enjoyed some of the fun foods that Charlie Brown's gang ate in the movie...popcorn, jelly beans, toast (graham crackers), and pretzel sticks!

Then, we watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie!

Today we introduced the letter "C"!

We remembered start your letter "at the top" then BIG curve to write a "C"! Then we came up with words that start with "C"!

Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "C" we can add it to our big letter.  Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with an "C", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter!

Charlotte brought in a handful of stickers today...

Then we practiced writing "C" with crayons (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)!

After all of our fun at the Charlie Brown feast, we were excited to get our wiggles out in the gym!

Have a great night!
