Happy Friday from Mrs. Mudd's class!
We had a great time wrapping up National Lutheran Schools Week today! Before we enjoyed the final activity, we had a chance for a little free choice time!
"Look Laina, I made a snowball!'

We kicked off this Friday with a bit of extra FUN!
We joined Mr. Maddick's 4th grade class for an on-line book, creating art work together (following the theme of the on-line book "The Dot"), and then the 4th graders read to us!
And look who we found there...Laina found her DAD!
And Korrinne found her SISTER!!!
And...we finished our dress up days with a big GREEN bang!!!

Keller returned the favorite book bag today, bringing in "The Book with No Pictures"! I do believe this is the hardest and loudest my class has ever laughed. They LOVED this book, hearing me have to say so many silly words! Thank you for sharing this fun book with us Keller!
Time for small groups (centers)!
With Mrs. Mudd some friends worked on part 1 of a creation! Today we used mirrors to draw our self portrait. Each friend then finished the following 2 statements (some friends wrote on his/her own, others wrote hand over hand with Mrs. Mudd!)...

This activity helped improve symbolic development, early writing/drawing, small motor control, and knowledge of self!
Others cut out snowflakes to add to his/her creation! Improving early scissor skills.
We improved our early scissor skills cutting out paper hearts. Each paper was folded in half. Each friend had to cut on the line that Mrs. Mudd had previously drawn. Then...unfold the paper and just like that we made hearts! After cutting out his/her heart, he/she could decorate with markers!
We improved our patterning skills placing conversation hearts in different patterns!
With Mrs. Dose we improved recognizing/identifying and forming letters. She would hold up a lowercase letter. Our friends would tell her the letter name, then make that same UPPERCASE letter with our wood pieces.
We ventured out a little early today, for some extra outside time on this gorgeous day!
During Jesus Time we remembered that God provides for us, everything that we need. Sometimes our food starts out as tiny as a kernel of corn. But, from that one kernel of corn, planted in the ground, we can produce so much food for animals, people, and more seeds to plant! God is GOOD!
