 Happy Friday from Preschool!

Peek-a-boo...I see you! We loved looking in the mirror at all the silly faces we can make...

Such concentration as these ladies built with interlox...

And these "dads" created a feast for the babies in our classroom!

Wiggle worm was here to welcome the start of baseball season!!!  If a friend picked a number on a baseball, that friend said the number aloud.  Then I gave the class an activity to complete that number of times...

Show me 17 toe touches!

If a wiggle worm was picked...

WIGGLE, WIGGLE, WIGGLE...and FREEZE! A great way to practice self regulation, having to stop and freeze when having so much fun wiggling!

Eli returned the favorite book bag...with perfect timing, as our guest reader wasn't able to make it at the last minute! We loved listening as Mrs. Mudd read "Pig the Pug" to the class!

We were blessed to have the crazy weather stay away for our school day! We took 100% advantage, getting as much outside time today as possible...

We headed inside to grab a drink of water and clean the classroom...then off to run with Mr. Joe...

and chase bubbles with Mrs. Fahey!

For Jesus time today, we read a book "The Easter Cave" reminding us of the sacrifice Jesus made for all of us on the cross, so many years ago!

Stay safe tonight...and have a great weekend!

Mrs. Mudd's class had a fun Thursday!

Check out the perseverance and hand-eye coordination to make these masterpieces...

We LOVE our classroom babies...

Time for 4 arm curls!

If a wiggle worm was picked...

We were so excited to see Rupert joining Pastor Rouland at chapel today! He reminded us about a special week, Holy Week, that begins this Sunday (Palm Sunday) through Easter!

We introduced the letter "N" today!

We remembered start your letter "at the top" then big line down, back to the top, big line down/diagonal, big line up for "N".  Then we came up with words that start with "N".

Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "N" we can add it to our big letter.  Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with an "N", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter!

Then we practiced writing "N" with crayons (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)!

What a perfect day to enjoy large motor time outside...

Time for small groups (centers)!

We improved spatial awareness as we completed Easter Puzzles.  Each puzzle told a different part of the Easter Story.  Success for some was completing the puzzle "on top" of the picture.  Success for some was completing the puzzle "next to" the picture.  While success for others was completing the puzzle without looking at the picture!

With Mrs. Dose each friend took turns...picking a bunny, any bunny!  On each bunny was a number.  Each child showed his/her friends, then said the number.  Then Mrs. Dose gave them an activity to do that number of times (i.e. jump "4" times, do "7" toe touches).  The ability to recognize/identify numbers and connect them to their quantities is an early math skill.

We improved our writing skills and letter identification as we wrote "spring" words (from our word wall) in our journals.

Woo Hoo for bikes and stepping stones!!!

And a few fun pics from photographer Edie...

Have a great night...
