Tuesday, March 28, 2023

Thanks for checking out our Tuesday in preschool!

One quick reminder first...

There is NO school Friday, 4/7 - Friday, 4/14 in celebration of Good Friday and Easter!

Onto our day...

Hmmm...what are those on the table Mrs. Mudd?
We enjoyed exploring and building with Interlox...great for problem solving and small motor control!

Another new arrival today...babies will be with us in our dramatic play area for a bit!!!

Wiggle worm was here to welcome the start of baseball season!!!  If a friend picked a number on a baseball, that friend said the number aloud.  Then I gave the class an activity to complete that number of times...

Time for 9 toe touches!

If a wiggle worm was picked...

WIGGLE, WIGGLE, WIGGLE...and FREEZE! A great way to practice self regulation, having to stop and freeze when having so much fun wiggling!

Just enough rain to send us to the commons...where we enjoyed some bowling and volleyball!

We began talking about how things grow!  Today we talked specifically about plants.  What do they need:

1. Soil or dirt
2. A seed
3. Water
4. Sunshine

Today we got to plant something, but we weren't going to use dirt...we used rocks!

Then...we weren't going to use a seed, we planted a bulb!

We did still add some water and put them in the window for some sunshine!
Now we have to show our patience as we watch to see if they grow!

While friends not here yesterday "planted" their bulbs, others enjoyed free choice time!

We've been asking again for "Mr. Fox", so we headed to the gym a little early today, to get a few rounds in before sharing the gym with another class...

During Jesus Time today Zippy came pretending to be a king. We began telling him about another king, Jesus.  Zippy noticed that Jesus wasn't wearing jewelry and his crown looked different, it was a crown of thorns.  Zippy didn't understand, if Jesus was a king, why didn't He just come down off the cross?  We learned that Jesus had to do this to save us.  He loves us so much that He would even die so we would be saved from our sins!

See you again tomorrow!
