 We had a great day in Mrs. Mudd's class!

Once again...we are choosing to simply create with pencil and crayon! 

We just might have a few civil engineers in the making!

To wrap up morning meeting there were 7 Easter items, but some looked the same except for being a different color!  We studied them, reviewed the colors, and locked them in our brain.  Then, I covered them with a blanket and took 2 away...what was missing? Recognizing and recalling is an early cognitive skill.

Chapel was led by another group of Zion student council members, reminding us that God is always with us, we do not need to be afraid!

We introduced the letter "M" today!  

We remembered start your letter "at the top" then big line down, back to the top, big line down, big line up, big line down for "M".  Then we came up with words that start with "M".

Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "M" we can add it to our big letter.  Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with an "M", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter!

Then we practiced writing "M" with crayons (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)! 

And...we managed to miss the rain once again and took advantage of our time on the preschool playground!

Time for small groups (centers)!

We are wrapping up our project on music.  So, we found out what each friend knows about music now!

Then it was time for us to get creative!  We got to "dye" eggs for Easter.  Each friend dipped sidewalk chalk in water and colored his/her paper egg.

We helped the bees find their flower.  Match the lowercase letter to the uppercase flower and the bee was "home"! Identifying/recognizing upper and lower case letters is an early literacy skill!

At the end of this week Tiny Tunes will be "closing". So, we enjoyed a bit of time role playing, creating the world as we see it, in our dramatic play area.

And we made another trip outside to get our bodies moving a bit!
