And...all of a sudden...it's almost the last day of school!!!
Just a few final reminders...
NO hot lunch available tomorrow, 5/25. Your child will need to bring a lunch from home with a drink on Wednesday, 5/25.
Picnic at the Park is tonight...Tuesday, May 24 we will have a Preschool Picnic in the Park evening from 5:00 - 7:00 at Laurel Park. If you would like to bring a picnic dinner, Mrs. Stanglein has reserved the “upper” picnic pavilion. Please note that we will not be providing any food. Please also note that you will need to stay with your child(ren) for the time that they are in attendance. It will be a fun night!
Last day of preschool is tomorrow, Wednesday, 5/25. It’s hard to believe but the end of the school year is just 1 day away! Preschool does NOT have school until 10:00 on Thursday, May 26 (Thursday is for grades 1 - 8 only).
On to our day...
We are still LOVING the kinetic sand. They can pack it, pull it, and shape it! It oozes, it moves, and feels like it "melts" in our hands! You can shape anything you want and use it over and over again! Great for fine motor and sensory development!
Best buds take one last trip to the pet store on their last day of preschool!
Connor expresses creativity as he creates with "good junk"!
Happy 4th Birthday Pierce! Thank you for sharing your special day with us!
We had so much fun with "here but not seen" a few weeks ago, we wrapped up morning meeting with this super fun game that improved our recalling skills! One friend hid in the bathroom while another friend was covered up with a blanket. The friend that was in the bathroom had to try and figure out who was missing. This is tough to do with this number of friends, but we did GREAT! And...what was possibly even harder? The friends sitting around the carpet had to use all the self regulation they had to not tell who was hiding under the blanket!
And...we had about 15 minutes before chapel was to begin, so we enjoyed some large motor time outside (yay that the forecast from yesterday was way off)!
Mrs. Haun led our final chapel of this school year! We enjoyed celebrating the year in song, as each class led a different song from each month of school! And...remember...JESUS LOVES YOU!!!
We led PS and Kindergarten in singing "My God is So Great!"
We read a special book...giving a glimpse into kindergarten...for our friends that have just about finished his/her preschool "career"!
Pete the Cat arrived in the classroom again today in..."Pete the Cate I Love My White Shoes". Poor Pete keeps stepping in all these different things that turn his shoes different colors! But, does Pete cry...goodness no!!!
With me each friend got to do something a little silly! Take off his/her shoe and trace around it on white paper. Then each friend chose one crayon to color his/her shoe print. I then took dictation as each friend told me what he/she stepped in (just like Pete)!!!
One last DANCE PARTY of the year! We have been blessed with a CD of 2016 VBS songs! So, we got to dance, dance, dance as we got familiar with some songs we will be hearing soon at VBS!
With Mrs. Dose, Pete had left his shoes in a few different patterns! It was each friends job to finish these patterns by coloring in the rest of his shoes. Then, there was one where each friend created his/her own pattern!! (Patterning is an early math skill)
After all our hard work, we enjoyed our second round of large motor time outside!
SURPRISE!!!
Since everyone had to bring a lunch from home...we enjoyed a picnic lunch just outside our classroom! We thought this was AWESOME (Yesterday I didn't think we would get the chance to do this again today, but the weather decided to cooperate)!
