Happy Friday from Mrs. Mudd's class!

What a whirlwind of a week it's been! A special chapel delivering canned goods, two days of crazy wind, a Charlie Brown feast or two, and now the day before a long Thanksgiving break!

One last chance to paint a Thanksgiving color sheet...

Go Violet, Everley, Carter, and Charley...improving that hand-eye coordination...

Then, many friends asked if they could color Thanksgiving pictures again this morning...what a perfect idea!!!

Mrs. Mudd brought with her 7 items, either a letter, number, or shape!  All 7 were covered with a towel, then 2 taken away!  What was missing? I couldn't even fool them one time, we did a great job of recognizing and recalling (an early cognitive skill)

We love Friday guest readers! Nolan's grandma read two great books that he picked out at the library!

We bundled up to play outside...it was a chilly, windy morning!

Here are just a few of our choices for "Free Choice Friday"!

As we were finishing up free choice, we had a special delivery from Mrs. Fish's class! We are going to think about their questions over break, so we can answer them when we get back...

During Jesus time today we enjoyed a God's Story video reminding us of the Battle of Jericho and that God has a plan for everyone one of us! We need to put our trust in Him!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yay for Thursdays in preschool!

Everly had a few days to spend with mat man...check out "Christmas Bluey"!

Lainey continues to work on decorating her birthday crown!!!

So many friends used geoboards to improve small motor control needed for writing...

Friends had a great time visiting with each other while coloring with markers and color pencils!

Always some great painting going on in the classroom...

And...some teamwork to build a small ramp for our cars!

Mrs. Mudd brought with her 7 items, either a letter, number, or shape!  All 7 were covered with a towel, then 2 taken away!  What was missing? I couldn't even fool them one time, we did a great job of recognizing and recalling (an early cognitive skill)

We headed to chapel and brought our last few cans we collected for the food drive (the rest were collected by student council yesterday to start packing up for seminary students and their food pantry)...

Thank you to all who were able to donate...I know it is greatly appreciated!

At chapel today there was a cornucopia filled with a few pieces of paper.

A few friends were asked to help, Nolan was picked! Each kiddo picked a paper that showed a pic of something Mr. Wood is thankful for! But, there was one hiding in the very bottom...the Bible and Jesus! We can be thankful for things, but we are most thankful for Jesus and the Bible...

While Mrs. Mudd got our surprise ready in the classroom...we got our bodies moving and improved our core strength in the commons!

When we came back we found there was fun to be had with Snoopy...at our Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast!!!

First we enjoyed some of the fun foods that Charlie Brown's gang ate in the movie...popcorn, jelly beans, pretzel sticks, and toast (graham crackers)!

Then, in place of centers, we watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie!

Today we introduced the letter "C"!

We remembered start your letter "at the top" then BIG curve to write a "C"! Then we came up with words that start with "C"!

Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "C" we can add it to our big letter.  Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with a "C", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter!

Then we practiced writing "C" with crayons (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)!

And...off for some fun in the gym!

Enjoy your night...
