We had a great Wednesday at preschool!
Lainey will be celebrating her 1/2 birthday soon after we return from Thanksgiving break...time to work on her crown!
Here are just a few activities we chose to kick off our day!
A bit of painting...
a tad of coloring...
a little stacking...
and a whole lot of ReLaXiNg!!!
Mrs. Mudd brought with her 7 items, either a letter, number, or shape! All 7 were covered with a towel, then 2 taken away! What was missing? I couldn't even fool them one time, we did a great job of recognizing and recalling (an early cognitive skill)
A lot of wind and a ton of sunshine as we explored on the preschool playground...
When we came inside we found there was fun to be had with Snoopy...at our Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast!!!
First we enjoyed some of the fun foods that Charlie Brown's gang ate in the movie...popcorn, jelly beans, pretzel sticks, and toast (graham crackers)!
Then, in place of centers, we watched A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving movie!
Today we introduced the letter "C"!
We remembered start your letter "at the top" then BIG curve to write a "C"! Then we came up with words that start with "C"!
Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "C" we can add it to our big letter. Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with a "C", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter! (Oops...forgot the pic today)
Then we practiced writing "C" with crayons (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)!
Yippee for more outside time even on chilly, windy days like today!!!
During Jesus Time today we heard the story of the Battle of Jericho. God had an unusual plan, he made the tall, strong wall at Jericho fall by having his people use their marching feet, trumpets, and shouting. The wall came tumbling down and God kept them safe!
Thanks for taking a few minutes to check out our day!
