Here's our day...

Claire improved small motor control as she cut wrapping paper into tiny pieces!

Reese strengthened the finger, wrist, and hand muscles forming little "stripes" of playdoh.  Then, added the correct number of stripes to each candy cane!

Kyler and Brooke worked together as they sorted the jewels by color and shape!

Elliot improved hand-eye coordination as he built a garage!

Ella improved letter recognition and spatial reasoning as she completed this puzzle!

Emma expressed creativity while painting a nativity scene!

We have some friends with steady hands...this tower of cups is just about taller than all four of them!

We had a little morning surprise and got to play on the "big kid" playground for  bit!

Happy 4 1/2 Birthday Davis! Thank you for spending your special day with us!

To finish morning meeting we read together "The Very Hungry Reindeer" by Mrs. Smith (currently a Zion 2nd grade teacher).  This "spin off" of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has this reindeer eating some silly Christmas things...and he turns into...RUDULPH!!!

It's PARTY TIME!!!!

A big thank you to the parents that were able to come help out today: Ms. Parker, Mrs. Bishop, Mr. Taylor, and Mr. Wallen!

First a yummy snack...Christmas trees! We made green icing by mixing white icing with green food coloring.  Then, we  covered a sugar cone with the icing and added skittles for decorations/lights!  And.. a little something healthy to add to the mix...strawberries!

We enjoyed hearing all about how Pete the Cat saved Christmas!

Times for some fun activities!!!

We loved the hot cocoa marshmallow toss!

There was a little "pin the nose on the snowman"!

We made gingerbread cookie ornaments!

So much fun getting to play Christmas BINGO!

After all that "partying" we headed outside for a bit of exercise and fresh air!

These two ladies are apparently headed to the beach!

Zippy visited during Jesus Time.  He just couldn't understand why the Wise Men traveled such a long way to see baby Jesus.  We learned they traveled all that way because they wanted to worship Jesus, because they knew he was the King and our Savior!  We also remembered that we don't have to travel far to worship God.  We can worship him at church or anywhere!
