Happy Friday from Mrs. Mudd's class!

We had a great time expressing creativity and improving hand-eye coordination while building with "candy"!

"Look Mrs. Mudd...it's a chicken!"

These 3 ladies decided to take a quick camping trip..."supplies" in one basket and "food" in the other!  Claire uses her best driving skills to get them all there safely!

Emma and Reese share their favorite parts of each book with each other...learning a love for reading!

We had a great time getting our bodies moving as we played on the preschool playground!

As we are just starting another new month, December, it was time to check out the November pie graph and compare it to other months!  We could tell just by looking that sunny (yellow) had the most days in November.  We also noticed that November had the most different kinds of weather, since there were 4 different colors on the graph for that month!  Understanding more, less, and the same is an early math skill.

To wrap up morning meeting, some of our friends took turns rolling the dice, recognizing/counting the number of dots, then finding that number on our "positional words" paper.  (Quantifying, connecting numerals to their quantities and understanding positional words are early math skills)

Can you guess what each friend rolled today?!?!?

Our guest reader for today, Mr. Marolf, read to us one of Mr. Mudd's (yep...that's correct...Mr. Mudd) favorite children's books, "My Little Sister Hugged an Ape".  This is a super fun, super silly book that reinforces letter concepts! Grab it from the library and read it at home sometime!

Time for small groups (centers)!

We improved scissor cutting skills as we cut Christmas wrapping paper into small pieces!  We can then use these small pieces to create with as it gets a bit closer to Christmas!

We improved our writing (and reading) skills as we wrote in our journals.  Our friends were excited about the new Christmas words that we have added to our word wall this week!

Then...we did 2 other centers...but, they are TOP SECRET! (You might get to find out about them on Christmas Day?!?!?)

And...outside again to get our bodies moving...

Liam is the "seeker" in a game of hide and go seek!

Run...Liam is going to catch us!

During Jesus Time today we read the Christmas story from The Bible (the big people one!) and sang songs to remind us that the reason for Christmas is to celebrate Jesus birthday!  God sent Jesus as a Savior for each and everyone of us, to take away our sins!
