We are having a fun Red Ribbon Week!  Yay for gray!!!

Two quick reminders...

Red Ribbon Week is here...October 18 - 22This is the week that people and communities unite and take a visible stand against substance abuse. Show your personal commitment to a drug-free and healthy lifestyle (preschool will focus on healthy eating/exercising) through the symbol of the Red Ribbon and these fun dress days:

Wednesday: Make SUPER Choices - wear a superhero shirt!
Thursday: Twinning with a Drug Free Friend - dress the same as a friend!
Friday: Drugs? don’t do that…Be a Bobcat - Spirit Day!

There is NO school on Thursday, 10/28 for Parent Teacher Conferences.
There is NO school Friday, 10/29 and Monday, 11/1 for fall break!

Then...we sure had fun singing at church on Saturday...we did an awesome job...

If you missed it...my daughter Riley took a video from her pew!

Now...on to our day!

We were so excited to paint again today...

Maddox worked on his crown for his birthday celebration next week!

To finish morning meeting I placed 7 bakery items on the carpet! Our friends job was to study the items and then "lock" them in his/her brain. I covered them up with a towel and took 1 or 2 items away! I couldn't even fool them 1 time! Recognizing and recalling is an early cognitive skill.

We enjoyed chapel led by Mr. Debrick, as he reminded us that with God all things are possible!

Then, members from student council helped us remember way to keeps our bodies strong and healthy...

Today we introduced the letter "E"!

We remembered start your letter "at the top" then big line down, little line across, little line across, little line across for the "E"! Then we came up with words that start with "E"!

Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "E" we can add it to our big letter.  Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with an "E", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter!

Then we practiced writing "E" with crayon (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)!

Yay for large motor time outside on this cool, fall morning!

For center time today, we worked as one big group!

We learned all about the 5 food groups and "my plate"...

We sang some fun songs to helps us remember the food groups and how to eat healthy...

We even got to "make" a my plate on the smart board, sliding different foods to the correct food groups!

We wrapped up with a dancing song, using different actions depending on what type of food was on the screen (we sure had to listen and follow directions)...

A perfect late morning to get moving on the parking lot playground!

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!
