Here we go...

Our legos have been all about creating things with wheels...cars, trucks, tractors, etc! Check out just a few of our awesome creations from today...

A new week, means a new book on CD! Henry couldn't wait to hear what this week's book was about...

Olivia and Elena were SUPER excited to decorate their birthday crowns for next week!

We loved "who is missing?" so much last week...we brought it back! We wrapped up morning meeting with a super fun game that improved our recalling skills!  One friend hid in the bathroom while another friend was covered up with a blanket.  The friend that was in the bathroom had to try and figure out who was missing.  This is tough to do with this number of friends, but we did GREAT!  And...what was possibly even harder? The friends sitting around the carpet had to use all the self regulation they had to not tell who was hiding under the blanket!

Science Time!

Today we tried to figure out "What's That Sound?"  We closed our eyes and listened, using only our sense of hearing to decide which item I had in my bag!  We did AWESOME...even though I did fool them a couple times!!! We decided that it is tricky to figure out what something is without being able to use our eyes!

The rain stayed away for most of the morning which meant we still got our time on the preschool playground!

We noticed and "captured" a whole lot of critters this morning while playing...

Pete the Cat arrived in the classroom again today in..."Pete the Cate I Love My White Shoes".  Poor Pete keeps stepping in all these different things that turn his shoes different colors!  But, does Pete cry...goodness no!!!

Time for small groups (centers)!

With me each friend got to do something a little silly!  Take off his/her shoe and trace around it on white paper.  Then each friend chose one crayon to color his/her shoe print.  I then took dictation as each friend told me what he/she stepped in!!!

With Mrs. Fahey, Pete had left his shoes in a few different patterns!  It was each friends job to finish these patterns by coloring in the rest of his shoes.  Then, there was one where each friend created his/her own pattern!!  (Patterning is an early math skill)

One last DANCE PARTY of the year!  So, we got to dance, dance, dance as we moved to songs we might have heard last year at VBS!

We finished up on the "big kid" playground just in time before a bit of rain started falling!

Lincoln had a little fun as photographer today...

During Jesus Time today Zippy was sad, he wanted his name to be Harold! We learned that we are all given a new name when we are baptized, Christian. This leads into us learning about the conversion of Saul the week!

Have a great rest of your day!
