What a terrific Thursday in preschool!

Many of our friends were blessed to start the day having breakfast with a buddy!  A few buddies even had the chance to share chapel with us, after having some yummy treats! (I think I got a picture of everyone!  My apologies if you were here and I missed you).

Pastor Reitz led our chapel service for us today! He LOVES to read books, so he shared with us a favorite Arch book all about David and Goliath.  We learned that God protects us from all danger, just as a shepherd protects his sheep from all harm!

Woo Hoo!!! Tricky Mouse is back!!!  This week he brought cards with lowercase letters on them!!!  He hid under different letters and we did our best to find him.  Success for some was knowing each letter.  Success for others was knowing some of the letters.  While success for a few was getting help with the letters from a friend!

And...what's that you are seeing? Why, yes, it is blue skies for large motor time!  We were so happy to get outside on the playground again!

We then read "Just One More Swim" to lead us into one of our centers, discovering what keeps animals warm!

Time for small groups (centers)!

With Valentine's day around the corner, we talked as a group about "places we love".  Here are just a few that we came up with yesterday and today!

With Mrs. Mudd we each put a bare hand in a bowl of ice water...we counted to 7 to see if we could keep it in there that long...brrr it was cold!

Then I added a bag full of animal fat (crisco), with a plastic bag inside.  Each friend placed his/her hand in the plastic bag, and held again for 7 seconds.  They discovered that the "fat" protected us from the cold water.  Just like the fat on an animal protects them from cold weather/water.

We had a chance to "read to self"!

With Mrs. Dose, we worked on a 3D project...making snowmen with marshmallow, glue, sequins, and toothpicks!

And to get our bodies moving, we enjoyed more outside time on the preschool playground!

We had a great day...I pray you enjoyed reading all about it!
