A couple last reminders...

There is NO HOT LUNCH program tomorrow, 5/24. Your child MUST bring a cold lunch with a drink this last day of school!
The last day of school for preschool is tomorrow, Wednesday, May 24. (Thursday, 5/25 from 8:00 - 10:00 is for grades 1 - 8 ONLY)
On to our day...
We had a short bit of time before we headed to chapel today, we jumped right into legos and duplos!
Mrs. Haun led us in our first closing chapel! She asked us a question, "What does busy mean?" One friend quickly said, "It means you're working!" So, is that a good or a bad thing? Well...sometimes...both! Jesus is always busy doing the right thing for us (and that's a good thing)! He is never too busy to see His children and take care of all of us! He is always listening to us through prayer...but sometimes we get busy and forget to pray. That's okay, Jesus forgives us if we are too busy to pray! Mrs. Haun found a great way to remember...put a rock on your pillow...what? Seems silly, right...but each child is bringing home a special prayer rock to help remind them to pray at bedtime and in the morning!
We enjoyed outside time after chapel and before heading in for morning meeting!
We had so much fun with "here but not seen" a couple weeks ago, we wrapped up morning meeting with this super fun game that improved our recalling skills! One friend hid in the bathroom while another friend was covered up with a blanket. The friend that was in the bathroom had to try and figure out who was missing. This is tough to do with this number of friends, but we did GREAT! And...what was possibly even harder? The friends sitting around the carpet had to use all the self regulation they had to not tell who was hiding under the blanket!
We read a special book...giving a glimpse into kindergarten...for our friends that have just about finished his/her preschool "career"!
Pete the Cat arrived in the classroom again today in..."Pete the Cate I Love My White Shoes". Poor Pete keeps stepping in all these different things that turn his shoes different colors! But, does Pete cry...goodness no!!!
With me each friend got to do something a little silly! Take off his/her shoe and trace around it on white paper. Then each friend chose one crayon to color his/her shoe print. I then took dictation as each friend told me what he/she stepped in!!!
With Mrs. Dose, Pete had left his shoes in a few different patterns! It was each friends job to finish these patterns by coloring in the rest of his shoes. Then, there was one where each friend created his/her own pattern!! (Patterning is an early math skill)
One last DANCE PARTY of the year! We have been blessed with a CD of 2017 VBS songs! So, we got to dance, dance, dance as we got familiar with some songs we will be hearing soon at VBS!
And...the rain finally came...so we enjoyed getting our wiggles out in the gym!
