Check out what we did in preschool today!

We are still loving the kinetic sand! Those that wanted a chance to work in the sensory table patiently waited his/her turn. Kinetic sand is designed to improve fine motor development, sensory development, and cognitive development.  It forms just like wet sand, but give it a little tap and it "melts" right in front of your eyes!  Feel free to try it out the next time you drop off your child(ren)!

Those not here yesterday were excited to see the addition of sand molds to be able to create castles and such!

The puppet theater was open for business this morning! All of the giggles are so fun to hear! Play through puppets is a fun way to practice language and social skills with friends!

We are doing a wonderful job following directions with the legos!  We are remembering to only have what we are using off of the tray (we don't want to lose any tiny pieces). Also. since we don't have very many, we are willing to share with friends!

Jack and Emma found some "good junk" to create masterpieces this morning!

And...baker's Josh and Claire were hard at work making "cookies" to sell! When I went to purchase one, I asked what flavors they had.  Of course, they had ALL flavors!

Emmy created a quick painting on a big coffee filter...just for mom!

We played, played, played on the preschool playground!

Wiggle worm visited the classroom for the last time this school year!  Today wiggle worm brought colored shapes with numbers on them.  If a friend grabbed a shape, he/she gave the color, the name of the shape, and the number on the shape!

If he/she grabbed a wiggle worm...

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle and FREEZE!!! It's hard to use that self regulation to stop when we are having so much fun wiggling!

We then had a special surprise....a trip to "storybook land"!  Zion's 5th graders picked out their favorite children's bedtime stories, brought blankets and stuffed animals, and read to us from "storybook land"!  As we were leaving many of our friends said that it was GREAT!!!

We had a special day for some of our friends going to Kindergarten next year!  We got the chance to "Tiptoe into Kindergarten" to check out what it's all about.  Here we are tiptoeing down to Mrs. Lail's class!

While we were there quietly watching, we drew pictures of what we saw in Kindergarten.  Each "almost" Kindergartner has been working on a book about what they think about Kindergarten and what they will miss about preschool.  With our visit to the classroom today, each book is complete!

While our "almost" Kindergarteners were on their special adventure, our other friends enjoyed extra free choice time in the classroom today!!!

We then got our wiggles out on the preschool and big playgrounds!

During Jesus Time today we remembered the story of Timothy learning all about Jesus his Savior from his mom and grandma.  Then, when he grew up, he told people all about Jesus too!  We thanked Jesus for people who tell us about Him, for making us good listeners, and for helping us to tell others about Jesus!
