Welcome to our last week of Preschool 2016 - 2017!!!

We were quite excited to see some new additions to our lego "equipment" and began building, building, building!

And...of course we were all smiles when getting a turn in the kinetic sand! Kinetic sand is designed to improve fine motor development, sensory development, and cognitive development.  It forms just like wet sand, but give it a little tap and it "melts" right in front of your eyes!

Reese and Emma improved hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness as they used teamwork to build this creation!

Play through puppets is a fun way to practice language and social skills with friends! These friends were making each other "belly" laugh!

We enjoyed our final get together with our buddy class, Miss Bevirt's 3rd graders!  We played on the big playground with them and then...

We enjoyed some yummy POPSICLES (and we only got a little sticky)!!!

We had so much fun with "here but not seen" a few weeks ago, we wrapped up morning meeting with this super fun game that improved our recalling skills!  One friend hid in the bathroom while another friend was covered up with a blanket.  The friend that was in the bathroom had to try and figure out who was missing.  This is tough to do with this number of friends, but we did GREAT!  And...what was possibly even harder? The friends sitting around the carpet had to use all the self regulation they had to not tell who was hiding under the blanket!

We read a special book...giving a glimpse into kindergarten...for our friends that have just about finished his/her preschool "career"!

Pete the Cat arrived in the classroom again today in..."Pete the Cate I Love My White Shoes".  Poor Pete keeps stepping in all these different things that turn his shoes different colors!  But, does Pete cry...goodness no!!!

With me each friend got to do something a little silly!  Take off his/her shoe and trace around it on white paper.  Then each friend chose one crayon to color his/her shoe print.  I then took dictation as each friend told me what he/she stepped in!!!

With Mrs. Dose, Pete had left his shoes in a few different patterns!  It was each friends job to finish these patterns by coloring in the rest of his shoes.  Then, there was one where each friend created his/her own pattern!!  (Patterning is an early math skill)

One last DANCE PARTY of the year!  We have been blessed with a CD of 2017 VBS songs!  So, we got to dance, dance, dance as we got familiar with some songs we will be hearing soon at VBS!

We enjoyed some time on our old preschool playground...visiting some fun things we had not done in a while!

During Jesus Time today we remembered and praised Jesus through song! We practiced all 7 of the special songs that we will be singing at our closing chapels on Tuesday and Wednesday!
