Sneak a peek week was a hit so far...a few minutes in the morning to show a loved one our morning routine!
Woo Hoo...a few more friends got to put on their animal masks for a photo op!
Can you guess who's behind that mask AND what animals they are?!?!?
We kicked off Red Ribbon Week with PJ DAY!!!

Our morning was packed with a lot of other activity as well...
Can you guess what Ryker, Henry, and Barrett were trying to do?
Tricky Mouse is back! Today he brought with him numbers 1 - 12! He hid below many numbers, but he didn't fool us. We figured out where he was every time by identifying the different numbers between 1 and 12! Identifying/recognizing numbers is an early math skill! After we identified the number and checked for tricky mouse, we identified the shape and the color too!
As we continue to dive into our project on community helpers, we watched a short video that showed and told us all about many helpers in our community. Ask your child if they remember any of the community helpers we saw on our smartboard today!
We enjoyed a cold, windy day outside for large motor time!!! We were so happy that the sun was shining and the building often blocks some of the wind for us...
Time for small groups (centers)!
Wow...we had "popcorn" in the classroom! There were 15 popcorn boxes, each with a different number of popcorn stickers on them. Our friends job was to count the stickers, find the BIG popcorn with that number on it, and velcro it to the popcorn box. Identifying numerals and connecting them to their quantities is an early math skill!
With Mrs. Dose we strengthened the finger, wrist, and hand muscles (needed for writing) while using playdoh to make shapes. Recognizing/identifying shapes is an early math skill.
We enjoyed exploring beans in the sensory table, using our 5 senses (well...except for taste...of course) and self regulation (we had very few beans end up on the floor)!
We read to self today, we still LOVE our books all about community helpers and animals! Even though we may not be reading the words, we are learning the correct way to use a book and learning to use pictures as clues!
We ventured to the gym where we played the spider game! Ask your little learner how to play...
During Jesus Time, the children LOVED hearing the story of Moses and the Red Sea. What a miracle as Moses led the people away from King Pharaoh. They trusted that God would protect them, and he did just that. He parted the Red Sea so they could get away from Pharaoh. Then, just as Pharaoh and his army got to the Red Sea, it closed. God's people were safe!!! We know that God protects us and is always with us too!
Hope you check us out again tomorrow!
