We had a fun start to our week!

A couple of reminders first!

There is NO school on Thursday, 10/27 for Parent Teacher Conferences. (See email from Zion sent today with instructions on how to sign up for a conference)!

There is NO school Friday, 10/28 and Monday, 10/31 for fall break!

Here we go...

Magnatiles were hopping with excitement this morning! What a great way to improve knowledge of 2D and 3D shapes while learning how to work with friends!

This group eventually filled the whole table with a single layer of legos, putting it together like Tetris! Go teamwork and problem solving!!!

A steady hand builds a tall tower!

We then finished up morning meeting with Wiggle Worm...he is back!!!  Today he brought with him uppercase letters on "community helper" cards.  If they got the wiggle worm, the whole class got to wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.  But, when I said, "Freeze!" everyone had to stop wiggling and freeze.  Our friends were having fun getting to be "wiggly" in the classroom, but they didn't know they were learning self regulation!  It's hard to stop and freeze when having so much fun!

If a letter is picked, that friend told everyone the letter name and the letter sound!

With a light breeze and the sun so bright...it was PERFECT to be outside this morning!

It was the BIG day we've been waiting for...animal mask making day!

We finished our STEAM activity all about making animal masks!  Today we got the chance to let our creativity flow as we used many different materials to make the animal mask of our choice! Many might not really look like the animal he/she chose, but I let them do it ALL by themselves ;o)

Stay tuned to see our finished masks...hopefully later this week!

During Jesus Time today we noticed we had a new basket by our Jesus table.  This basket was similar to the one that Moses' mother put him in to protect him from King Pharoah. We learned that God watched over Moses and kept him safe. God had a plan for baby Moses, even when things were a little scary.  We can trust that God has a plan for us too!

Have a great night!
