We had a terrific (even if rainy outside) Tuesday!
A couple quick quick reminders...
There is NO school this Thursday, 10/27 for Parent Teacher Conferences!
There is NO school Friday, 10/28 and Monday, 10/31 for Fall Break!
On to our day...
The light boards lit up the classroom a bit more than usual today! With the dark skies, our jewels seemed to shine so bright...
Some friends enjoyed more creating with watercolors! Today we painted more community helpers...
To finish morning meeting I placed 7 items on the carpet! Our friends job was to study the items and then "lock" them in his/her brain. I covered them up with a towel and took 1 or 2 items away! I didn't fool them even 1 time! Recognizing and recalling is an early cognitive skill.
We headed on over to chapel, led by Pastor Rouland, where we learned that Reformation is coming and that the paraments change with the changing of the church season!
We had a blast in the commons for large motor time!
Time for our Fall Harvest Party (#1)!
Everyone was super excited and couldn't wait for games to start!
But first...a yummy snack of pretzels and pumpkins (cutie oranges) in the classroom!
Then, our friends enjoyed listening to the book "The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything" while snack was being cleaned up!
We scratched off "magic" leaves to celebrate Fall (and strengthen the finger, wrist, and hand muscles)...
We played fall BINGO, using caramels as markers! We were excited to hear that there are some caramels in the goody bags that are going home in backpacks today!
We bowled right over some candy corn!
And tossed rings right onto some spiders and pumpkins!
Finally we read the book "Spookley and the Pumpkin Jamboree" to wrap up our party!
After a rainy morning, chapel, and a party day...the gym was perfect to run off our extra energy!
