Happy Thursday from Mrs. Mudd's class!
A couple more "sneak a peekers" joined us for a few minutes this morning!
We just can't get enough of magnatiles...so fun and great for hand-eye coordination!
Mia was hard at work getting our mail ready to deliver!

Maddox put the finishing touches on his birthday crown, for next week!
Pastor Fieberkorn led chapel for us today, reminding us that we will often be tempted to make poor choices. But, we are forgiven since Jesus died on the cross for our sins!
Junior High student council members reminded us how to be active, healthy, and safe!

Today we introduced the letters "L" and "F"!
We remembered start your letter "at the top" then big line down, little line across for the "L" and big line down, little line across, little line across for the "F"! Then we came up with words that start with "L" and "F"!
Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "L" or "F" we can add it to our big letter. Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with an "L" or "F", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter!
Then we practiced writing "L" and "F" with crayons (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)!
Yay for another sunny morning to get our wiggles out, outside!
Time for small groups (centers)!
With Mrs. Mudd, we sequenced different foods from smallest to biggest or biggest to smallest. The ability to sequence is an early math skill. Success for some was sequencing with hints from me, while success for others was sequencing on his/her own.
Uh oh! Our popsicles lost their match! Each popsicle had a picture on it, if you found the 2 pictures that rhyme, the popsicle was back together again! Rhyming is an early literacy skill.
We enjoyed "reading" again today. We had to use the pictures to tell the story. In doing this, we are understanding how books work!
Over the last couple weeks we have been adding "community helper words" to our word wall. Today we got to try writing those words in our journals!
