Happy Friday from our new class pet!  (Yet to be named...stay tuned!)

A quick good morning to our new friend...

Carter introduced him to one of our "pet fish" from the Palace Pets!

Will and Wesleigh were investigating at the light table when they discovered that the clear jewels, placed on top of letters on the light table, made the letter appear bigger! They worked just like a magnifying glass!

We noticed that we have started another new month...March!  So, we compared our weather pie graphs.  We decided that February weather was almost the same as December weather.We had the most sunny days in February, but just barely, cloudy was a close second!  Being able to compare is an early math skill.

Mrs. Mudd had 7 items.  We took a minute to talk about each one and "lock" them in our brains!  We enjoyed deciding if each animal we were using could be a pet or not! Then while hidden under a towel, Mrs. Mudd took away 2 items! Our friends' job was to recall what was missing !  We did AWESOME today, didn't miss even once.  Recognizing and recalling is an early cognitive skill.

Molly returned the favorite book bag today, bringing in "I Love You This Much!" to share with us!  We loved hearing from Molly about her favorite part of the book, and seeing her drawings.  We then enjoyed hearing the story as Mrs. Mudd read it to the class.

This activity is one way to encourage the love of reading.  Also, this activity allows the children (and teacher) to be introduced to new books!  Furthermore, it helps to continue to build home and school connections!

Off to the commons to work our core strength while using scooters!

Our guest reader, Mrs. Haun, shared 2 books all about different animals.  These books used different shapes to make the animals. So, not only did we improve upon early literacy skills, we practiced shape identification (early math skill).

During Jesus Time today we remembered that no one is too "bad" of a sinner for Jesus to love and forgive.  That doesn't mean we should make poor choices on purpose. We should still do our best to make good choices.  But, if we make a mistake, Jesus will forgive!
