We had another FUN day in preschool!
A few reminders:
Christmas Giving Project...Each year the students and families of Zion have the opportunity to donate to a charity during the Christmas season. This year, our class is going to donate toys to St. Louis Children's Hospital. These toys are used in various places throughout the hospital including children's playrooms, emergency unit, radiology, Same Day Surgery, etc. Your child will have the opportunity to donate new, unwrapped toy(s) until Friday, December 19th. We have a large wrapped box in the classroom for the donated items. The following Monday, Dec. 22nd, the toys will be delivered to Children's Hospital. (Please see the email sent on Sunday, 11/23 for a list of MOST WANTED items!) A big THANK YOU to those that have already donated!
Christmas Eve/Christmas Day services at Zion Lutheran Church...I hope you and your family will be able to join us for one of the following communion services:
December 24th at 3:00, 5:00, and 11:00 pm
December 25th at 9:00 am
Love and Logic Parenting class...is being offered at Zion beginning January 11, 2015 at 9:30 am. Love and Logic provides simple solutions, tips, and practical techniques to help adults with kids of all ages:

Harper strengthened her finger, wrist, and hand muscles as she used the playdoh to decorate candy canes.
Korrinne and Finley compare stories as they write in their journals!
Look at Ava's creativity and fine motor skills!!! It's a spider web for candy!
Thomas and Rory also improve their fine motor skills as they begin creating with candy construction!

Yay...we got to go outside today...and to the BIG playground again ;o)
It's PARTY TIME (with Mrs. Douglas today, I hosted the party for her class)!!!
A big thank you to the parents that were able to come help out today: Mr. Gibbs, Mr. Groves, Mrs. Gray, Ms. Gibbs, Mrs. Riedle, and Mrs. Tepen. Also a big thank you to Mrs. Groves and Mrs. Gray for items to add to the goodie bags!
First a yummy snack...Christmas trees! We "painted" green icing all over a sugar cone and added sprinkles for decorations and lights!
We each had our very own container of playdoh (that we get to take home) and used christmas cookie cutters to create!
GLITTER, GLITTER, GLITTER!!!
We created stars out of popsicle sticks, glitter, and glue...in some cases...glitter glue!!!
Time for a little pin the star on the Christmas tree!
With all the party excitement, we still had some time to "stretch our legs" in the gym!
We used the cones and rings for more ring toss fun!
And...some chose to run and...
JUMP all the way to the ceiling (looks pretty close to me!)
During Jesus Time today Zippy visited for the 3rd day in a row. He just couldn't understand why the Wise Men traveled such a long way to see baby Jesus. We learned they traveled all that way because they wanted to worship Jesus, because they knew he was the King and our Savior! We also remembered that we don't have to travel far to worship God. We can worship him at church or anywhere!
