We enjoyed our last full day before Christmas break!
Our day was a bit different today as we headed to chapel right away this morning for the final Preschool Advent Service.
An angel (Pastor Rouland) visited us today. He reminded us that not all angels have wings...but he is a messenger! He brings very important messages for God. He brought one to Mary about her having a son, Jesus. He brought one to the shepherds, to tell the good news of great joy...the Savior was born in Bethlehem!!! This is great news for us too!!!
To wrap up the service, we loved listening to Mrs. Douglas' and Mrs. Lohman's preschool classes sing 2 super fun Christmas songs!
To finish morning meeting we read together "The Very Hungry Reindeer" by Mrs. Smith (currently a Zion 2nd grade teacher). This "spin off" of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" has this reindeer eating some silly Christmas things...and he turns into...RUDOLPH!!! A few friends even helped read it with me today!
Happy 1/2 Birthday Harper! Thank you for sharing your special day with us!
We ventured outside for a nice, long time to get our wiggles out!
Another day closer to Christmas day, so we watched a different Veggie Tales Christmas movie, "The Star of Christmas"! It taught us all about the true "star of Christmas"...baby Jesus, and the true story of God's love!
And...we were blessed to be able to use the "big kid" playground for our second round of large motor time!
Have a blessed rest of your day!
