We had a great day before Thanksgiving in preschool!

A couple of reminders...

There is NO school Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25…blessings on your Thanksgiving Holiday!

Preschool and Kindergarten Christmas Service…is Sunday, December 11 at 4:00 pm in Zion’s sanctuary (we will meet in Zion’s fellowship hall, lower level, at 3:45 pm). We will worship together and celebrate the birth of Jesus through songs, pictures, and words spoken by our Preschool and Kindergarten students!

Check out our day...

Look at all the concentration as we create 2D and 3D shapes with magnatiles.  Not only are we improving hand-eye coordination, were are also improving our math skills as we work with shapes!

Brooke and Claire improved small motor control as they lined up most of the tiny dinosaurs and hippos in a straight line!

Ella improved spatial reasoning and letter knowledge as she worked on an alphabet puzzle.

With the puppet theater returning we decided it just had to have a name...so we finished voting!

And the name with the most votes..."Preschool Plays"!

We headed to chapel in the commons...

Mrs. Reed led chapel for us today with a fun game. We had to guess the many things she had in a bag...blessings we can all be thankful for!  The last item was 2 sticks that can make a cross. God sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross to save us from our sins.  This is the biggest blessing God could ever give. And, he doesn't just bless us on Thanksgiving, he blesses us every day!

We read 2 fun books to get us in the Thanksgiving spirit...

With Mrs. Mudd we improved our scissor cutting skills!  Each friend had a chance to cut 5 turkey feathers (drawn on a 3 x 5 card) while I observed his/her cutting skills.  Then he/she glued those feathers onto his/her turkey body (printed on paper...check them out in his/her portfolio...eventually!)

With Mrs. Dose we played a fun game of Thanksgiving BINGO, improving our matching skills (early math)!

We improved hand eye coordination as we weaved shoestrings in and out of Thanksgiving lacing cards!

We wrote our new fall words (from our word wall) in our journals.  We improved our writing skills and are beginning to understand that strings of letters make up words!

We headed to the gym for large motor time...we loved getting to practice some hoops!
