Thanks for checking out our Thursday in preschool!

I believe we have some budding artists in our class...we simply love to paint...

To wrap up morning meeting, we took some time looking at our two graphs in the classroom. We compared more, less, and the same, number recognition, and practiced counting...all early math skills!

Mr. Debrick led chapel for us this morning! We learned all about temptation. Sometimes it's hard to make the right choice, when we really want to do something. Even Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and the fruit from the one tree that was "off limits"!  If we do fall to temptation, we know that God forgives us and will always love us !

Another great morning of outside time...

Time for small groups (centers)!

With Mrs. Mudd we practiced our scissor skills!  Each friend cut a 3x5 card however he/she chose.  When finished cutting he/she glued what he/she cut on to a paper for his/her portfolio! While each friend was cutting I observed the following:

How he/she cut the paper
Can he/she grasp the scissors independently
Holding the scissors with thumbs up or down
Can he/she open/close independently

A question came up about where cookies, cupcakes (and such) come from.  We decided that sometimes these yummy foods comes from a bakery.  So...we built a bakery or two out of blocks!

We were super excited to explore the beans in the sensory table...we have been practicing our patience and having to wait since Monday!

With Mrs. Lorenz, we painted our favorite foods using our watercolor paints. Mrs. Lorenz took dictation as each friend told her what he/she painted!

Off to the parking lot playground to improve our large motor control, balance, and social skills!

These friends even created a "car wash" to stop and get their bikes cleaned, before heading out for a ride!

That's a wrap for today...
