Happy Tuesday from Mrs. Mudd's Class!

Two quick reminders...

There is NO HOT LUNCH program the last week of school (5/22 - 5/25). Your child MUST bring a cold lunch with a drink on Monday, 5/22 - Thursday, 5/25.

The last day of school for preschool is Thursday, May 25…and there is NO after school care on this day. Please make arrangements to pick up your child at 2:50 pm on Thursday, 5/25.

On to our day...

WE HAVE BUTTERFLIES! Ten to be exact!!!
We love them so much...we just want to watch them ALL of the time ;o)

While others were enjoying free choice time...each friend found out "How Many INCHES Tall Are You?"  We were amazed that all of us had grown, as little as one inch all the way to 2.5 inches, since last August!

Once measured he/she found the correct number, for how many inches tall he/she measured, and wrote his/her name on our chart/graph.  The ability to compare and measure, using standard forms of measurement, is an early math skill!

I was this tall in August...and many needed help writing their name!!!

I've grown so much since August...not just taller, but no one needs help with their name!

To wrap up morning meeting, wiggle worm visited the classroom for the last time this school year!  Today wiggle worm brought colored shapes with numbers on them.  If a friend grabbed a shape, he/she gave the color, the name of the shape, and the number on the shape!

Then Mrs. Mudd gave them an activity to complete that number of times...time for 2 arm curls!

If he/she grabbed a wiggle worm...

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle and FREEZE!!! It's hard to use that self regulation to stop when we are having so much fun wiggling!

Our librarian for the day chose two fun books for me to read to the class!

Then off to enjoy a cool, cloudy outside time...which ended in blue skies by the time we headed inside!

We had a special day for some of our friends going to Kindergarten next year!  We got the chance to "Tiptoe into Kindergarten" to check out what it's all about.  Here we are tiptoeing down to Mrs. Aslin's classroom!

While we were there quietly watching, we drew pictures of what we saw in Kindergarten.  Each "almost" Kindergartner has been working on a book about what they think about Kindergarten and what they will miss about preschool.  With our visit to the classroom today, each book is complete! (If you don't see your "almost" Kindergartener today, they will be tiptoeing tomorrow!)

While our "almost" Kindergarteners were on their special adventure, our other friends enjoyed extra outside time today!!!

Time to soak up some more sunshine on the parking lot playground!

During Jesus Time we remembered the story of Peter healing the crippled man in the name of Jesus.  This reminded us that Jesus is actually the one who healed the man and He heals us from our sin and from the poor choices that we make!

Have a nice night!
