Happy Friday from Mrs. Mudd's Class!
Now that it is May...one more friend began their day with a special check-in! Each child completed their "May My Name" for their portfolio without using their name tag. While each friend wrote their name I took special note of :

We worked on another little surprise that will be coming home next week!
We wrapped up morning meeting with a super fun game that improved our recalling skills! One friend hid in the bathroom while another friend was covered up with a blanket. The friend that was in the bathroom had to try and figure out who was missing. This is tough to do with this number of friends, but we did GREAT! And...what was possibly even harder? The friends sitting around the carpet had to use all the self regulation they had to not tell who was hiding under the blanket!
Our guest reader was previous EC director, Mrs. Haun! She sure had our attention with the two funny books she read to us today...
Hooray...the rain stayed away, so we could go outside and play!!!
What an awesome surprise, Mrs. Talley (subbing for Mrs. Dose) brought in her clarinet. She taught us so much: how to put it together, play it, take it apart, clean it, and store it! We even played a couple of games practicing high, low, fast, and slow. Oh yeah..and a fun book too!!!
And...well, would you look at that...still no rain!!!
During Jesus Time today Zippy reminded us that sometimes we get mad or sad. We need to remember to take a deep breath and pray about it. We all have the Holy Spirit to help us to forgive and show the love of Jesus to the person who made us feel angry or sad!
