Two reminders first...
There is NO school on Monday, February 20 in observance of Presidents’ Day.
Kindergarten Round Up…has been rescheduled for Tuesday, 2/28 at 6:00 pm…Parents and Preschoolers are invited to attend for the 2017 - 2018 school year. The excitement of another party day was in the air...
Coloring some cute valentine pictures! We did an awesome job with staying inside the lines today!
Whoa...how tall can it get before it falls over?!?!? (It lasted about 5 more minutes!). This gave us a chance to problem solve...what would happen if we didn't use the big square on the bottom? So...they tried again without the big square to slide off of, and they were able to build it without leaning to one side!
For the four friends not here yesterday, it was FINALLY time to pass out Valentines to friends! And...little did they know they were working on an early math skill...one to one correspondence!
ALL of our friends are VERY excited to take their bags home tonight!
Beginning next week, for check-in, we will not only be writing our names, we will also be estimating and writing a number we estimate. So, to wrap up morning meeting, I introduced the "Estimate Jar". Each week there will be a different item in the jar, each day a different number! This week...hershey kisses!
We enjoyed chapel, lead by Mr. Debrick today! He first read to us John 3:16, then showed us a gift he received in the mail, a big cardboard box. Valentine's day is a great day to tell each other we love them, sometimes we get gifts. We were quite excited to see what was in his gift! It was a BIG red heart. Hearts remind us that Jesus loves us so much that he died on the cross and rose again to save us from our sins! The best gift in the world is Jesus!

Large motor skills at work...throwing the ring just right is tough!
Listening, problem solving, and large motor skills were all needed for a super fun game of Valentine twister!
We REALLy worked our finger, wrist, and hand muscles as we found what was hiding under the red heart with a cross on it! Many friends still have more revealing to do at home!
After all the "partying" we headed out for extra large motor time on the playground!
