Happy Friday from Mrs. Mudd's class!
We love to strengthen our finger, wrist, and hand muscles while creating with playdoh (especially when it's brand new and homemade by Zion's 3rd graders...they made us A LOT)!!!
Emma improved her writing and drawing skills while expressing creativity on a blank "canvas"!
We were excited to see the kitchen was fully stocked again! Here we are creating the world as we see it!
Reese decided to take a little break from all of the action!
While many friends enjoyed free choice, some friends spent a little time with me this morning completing a January interview! It sure is fun to watch and listen as each decides how he/she wants to answer each question!
We noticed we started another new month, January (and even a new year)! It was time to check out the December pie graph! We could tell just by looking that sunny (yellow) had the least days in December, while cloudy (black) had the most. We also noticed that December had similar weather to November, all sunny or cloudy weather at the time of morning meeting each day! Understanding more, less, and the same is an early math skill.
We loved that Tricky Mouse came to visit us our first week back after break! Today he brought numbers. But, he couldn't fool us, we knew all these numbers and found him every time! Recognizing/identifying numbers is an early math skill.
Another day of COLD weather had us headed to the commons to get the wiggles out and improve large motor control!
A few friends decided that push-ups were the best way to get a little exercise!
Our guest reader today was Katie Linneman, Zion 5th grader! We love when the "big kids" come read to us. We know that one day soon we will be reading just like them!
And of course...Free Choice Friday!!!
After playing and working with others in the classroom, we enjoyed a fun game of duck, duck, goose! We did an awesome job following directions, waiting our turn, and making sure everyone had a chance to be "goose"!
During Jesus time today Zippy came to visit. He taught us that even though we can't see ourselves growing everyday, we are still growing. Even grown ups are growing everyday. You see, he wasn't talking just about getting taller, he was also talking about growing with God and learning more about His love for us!
Josh took another shot at photographer today...
Have a great weekend...enjoy the "heat wave" on Sunday!
