What a surprise of a Tuesday...all that white stuff on the roads this morning makes for an exciting day in preschool!
A couple reminders...
Box Tops Contest…It’s that time again! Zion is having a classroom contest for box tops! The class who brings in the most box tops between now and 2/19 will win a special treat! I will have a bag in our classroom for you to turn them in! Questions? Contact Shawnda Burnham (shawndab@hotmail.com).
No school...there is no school this Friday, February 12 (winter break) and Monday, February 15 (Presidents' Day)!
And...here we go...
While others enjoyed free choice time, each friend found out "How Many HEARTS Tall Are You?"
Once measured he/she found the correct number, for how many hearts tall he/she measured and wrote his/her name on our chart/graph. The ability to compare and measure, using non-standard forms of measurement, is an early math skill!
All of Zion enjoyed indoor play today! With the snow and the cold temps, everyone stayed inside!
Happy 4th Birthday Brooke! Thank you for sharing your special day with us!
As we began creating the symphony last week, our friends wanted a name for our orchestra! So, today we finished the vote!!! Each friend could choose between "Muddy Music" or "Preschool Performers"....
And...I forgot to take a picture, but "Muddy Music" is the winner by a landslide!!! (Poor "Preschool Performers" only got 2 votes!)
Time to Party!
A big thank you to our parent volunteers, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Fredricks, and Ms. Parker, for all of their help today!
We enjoyed a yummy snack...in the classroom!
And...a fun book read by Mrs. Rouland!
Then...we LOVED all the fun games and crafts Mrs. Rouland planned for us!
And...after all that party fun...we headed to the gym to run (or gallop, or skip) off our energy!!!
Natalia returned the favorite book bag today! She chose to share "Best Friends". We remembered that we were all babies once, and we too might have friends that we've known since being a baby. Thank you for sharing this with us Natalia!
During Jesus Time today we read the story of the "Lost and Found Son" from the Bible. We learned that Jesus is sad whenever we're bad, But He doesn't stop loving us!
