We had a great last Wednesday of preschool!

A quick free choice time before heading to our first closing chapel...and then our last snack time this school year...for 2 of us!

We loved "who is missing?" so much last week...we brought it back! We wrapped up morning meeting with a super fun game that improved our recalling skills!  One friend hid in the bathroom while another friend was covered up with a blanket.  The friend that was in the bathroom had to try and figure out who was missing.  This is tough to do with this number of friends, but we did GREAT!  And...what was possibly even harder? The friends sitting around the carpet had to use all the self regulation they had to not tell who was hiding under the blanket!

Even though cloudy and cool, it was rain free! So, let's get those bodies movin'

We enjoyed a short clip from Mary Poppins...Let's Go Fly A Kite!

Then...it was a great day to fly a KITE!!!

We expressed our creativity and worked the finger, wrist, and hand muscles decorating plastic bag "kites" with markers!!!

Then to the gym to FLY, FLY, FLY our kites!!!!

Have a wonderful rest of your Wednesday!

Science Time!

Today we tried to figure out "What's That Sound?"  We closed our eyes and listened, using only our sense of hearing to decide which item I had in my bag!  We did AWESOME...even though I did fool them a couple times!!! We decided that it is tricky to figure out what something is without being able to use our eyes!

Then...WOO HOO...the sun came out just in time for water day FUN!!!
According to some, it was the BEST DAY EVER!!!

Pete the Cat arrived in the classroom again today in..."Pete the Cate I Love My White Shoes".  Poor Pete keeps stepping in all these different things that turn his shoes different colors!  But, does Pete cry...goodness no!!!

Time for small groups (centers)!

With me each friend got to do something a little silly!  Take off his/her shoe and trace around it on white paper.  Then each friend chose one crayon to color his/her shoe print.  I then took dictation as each friend told me what he/she stepped in!!!

With Mrs. Trower, Pete had left his shoes in a few different patterns!  It was each friends job to finish these patterns by coloring in the rest of his shoes. Then, there was one where each friend created his/her own pattern!!  (Patterning is an early math skill)

One last DANCE PARTY of the year!  So, we got to dance, dance, dance as we moved to songs we might have heard at VBS!

Off the to gym for a little large motor fun (and some silliness)...

During Jesus Time we learned of a man who was unkind and actually hated Jesus. He started as Saul, but after Jesus blinded Him and he prayed to be healed, his heart was changed. He became known as Paul, loved Jesus and telling others the good news!

Check us out again tomorrow...
