Thanks for checking out our Tuesday!

Two quick reminders...

There is NO school this Thursday, 10/28 for Parent Teacher Conferences.

There is NO school this Friday, 10/29 and next Monday, 11/1 for fall break!

On to our day...

We had fun and improved skills needed for writing as we painted beautiful fall leaves!

Many were excited to see geoboards had emerged again! Great for problem solving, small motor control, and forming shapes!

More vehicle creations...check these 3 out, planning and working together!

To wrap up free choice we played "pick a card, any card"!  I held 6 cards in my hand (upside down). One friend at a time got the chance to pick 1 card from my hand. On that card was a positional word.  He/she showed the class, I read the word (some of us tried to sound it out first), then gave him/her an instruction using that positional word!  Understanding spatial relationships, following directions in relation to proximity is an early math skill!

What a difference a day makes! Such a perfect morning to get the wiggles out before the big party!

Time for our Fall Harvest Party #1!
Everyone was super excited and couldn't wait for games to start!

But first...a yummy snack of mini cheese balls, krispy treats, and pumpkins (cutie oranges)!

Then, our friends enjoyed listening to a Pete the Cat book while snack was being cleaned up!

Finally game time...we bowled right over some candy corn!

Yikes...some spider ring toss was on the agenda!

We played fall BINGO, using caramels as markers!  We were excited to hear that there are some caramels in the goody bags that are going home in backpacks today!

We created beautiful art with "magic" leaves!  Ask your child what made them magic!

We wrapped up our party, spending a little time with Corduroy!

A BIG thank you to Mrs. Gnade, Mrs. Hart, and Grandma Moore for coming and helping out with the party!

After all the party excitement, we enjoyed playing outside on the parking lot playground...

During Jesus Time today we heard the story of the Israelites in the desert.  We got to hear the story from an Israelite himself (puppet).  They slowly ran out of food and water, and began grumbling and complaining.  Thank goodness God is forgiving!  He provided birds to catch and cook, manna (a sweat bread) fell from the sky, and water came flowing from a rock!  We remembered that God is always with us and always gives us what we need.  He is GOOD!

Have a great evening.

Monday, October 25, 2021

Welcome back on this ever so windy Monday!

Two quick reminders...

There is NO school this Thursday, 10/28 for Parent Teacher Conferences.

There is NO school this Friday, 10/29 and next Monday, 11/1 for fall break!

Here we go...

Just two friends packed and ready to go to camp!

We did a great job of painting beautiful fall leaves!

Many were excited to see geoboards had emerged again! Great for problem solving, small motor control, and forming shapes!

Happy Birthday Maddox! Thank you for sharing your special day with us...

We bundled up, with hoods up, and headed outside to see just how windy it really was...no one blew away ;o)

With a short week upon us, and Harvest Parties the next couple days, we enjoyed another round of free choice on a Monday!

Then we chose to be "wind free" for our next large motor time and enjoyed the blessing of gym time!

During Jesus Time today Zippy came to visit.  He told us how much he LOVED chicken nuggets and french fries, but then he ended up eating them 5 days in a row.  He started complaining about eating the same thing over and over.  This was just like the Israelites when they grumbled and complained about the food they were eating, even though God was providing for them!  We remembered to always be grateful for what God has provided for us!

That's all for today folks!
