We had a great first day in preschool!
Please take a few minutes to check out our day...
We all started our day with our first check-in...writing his/her name on a special piece of paper!
Some of us improved small motor control as we built with unifix cubes!
Each friend picked a job for the first time today...
Olivia and Natalia chose table washer...
Luke and Nolan chose custodian...
Lincoln chose meteorologist...
Chase chose messenger...
Callahan chose calendar helper...
Henry was our snack helper...
Addison helped out as our bathroom monitor...
Edie was our line leader...
Avery did a great job as door holder...
While Audrey was our caboose...
Hudson was our photographer...
While Elena chose librarian...
BB began Jesus Time as our invocation leader...
And...Corinne was our lunch helper...
We enjoyed our first snack as a class...
We read/watched the book "The Kissing Hand" on the smartboard! We loved getting to hear all about little raccoon's first day of school and then compared it to our first day of school!
We gathered in the field for an ALL SCHOOL photo...taken by a drone!
Then...woo hoo...we were so excited to go outside to the preschool playground!
Time for small groups (centers)!
With Mrs. Dose we improved small motor control and patterning skills as we placed cubes together in a pattern. Success for some was copying a pattern Mrs. Dose started. Success for others was finishing a pattern Mrs. Dose started. Success for other was starting and finishing a pattern on his/her own!
With Mrs. Mudd we created a special first day of preschool art piece...look for it coming home soon! While waiting his/her turn, we enjoyed coloring a picture of our theme verse for this year "Chosen", Colossians 3:17!
We improved large motor control, expressed creativity, and worked as a team as we built our house or the school with blocks!
We improved spatial awareness and small motor control as we put puzzles together!
I am so proud of everyone! We did a wonderful job of following directions for our first experience with small groups with our new class!
Although our day included a lot of learning routine and at times felt rushed, we were still able to get some more outside time in (to get those wiggles out) before lunch!
Hudson snapped a couple pics as our photographer...
