Happy Friday from Mrs. Mudd's class!

While many friends enjoyed free choice, some friends spent a little time with me this morning completing a January interview!  It sure is fun to watch and listen as each decides how he/she wants to answer each question, and draw a quick picture of something he/she likes to do in the winter!

We noticed we started another new month, January (and even a new year)!  It was time to check out the December pie graph!  We could tell just by looking that snowy (red) and rainy (blue) had the least days in December, while cloudy (black) had the most. Understanding more, less, and the same is an early math skill.

We loved that Tricky Mouse came to visit us our first week back after break!  Today he brought numbers.  But, he couldn't fool us, we knew all these numbers and found him every time! Recognizing/identifying numbers is an early math skill.

Yay for another day spent outside for large motor time!

We were excited to have a guest reader from church! Pastor Reitz read us two books, all about fun things you can do in the winter!

Before jumping into free choice Friday, we took a few minutes to work on our portion of a collaborative art piece for National Lutheran Schools Week. Each friend colored a coffee filter however he/she chose.  Each filter was then cut into the shape of a butterfly.  Later, after every PS - 8th grader completes one of these, they will be transformed into a large cross!

Then...check out some of our choices for free choice Friday!

After working hard in the classroom, we enjoyed large motor time on the "big kid" playground!

During Jesus Time today Zippy was playing and didn't want to stop playing to go to Chapel.  We learned that it's important to hear God's Word, even if we are having the most fun playing.  So important that we stop playing and play again later.  It's fun to go to God's house and hear about how much Jesus loves us!

Have a great weekend!

Welcome back to Mrs. Mudd's preschool class...now in 2019!!!

While many friends enjoyed free choice, some friends spent a little time with me this morning completing a January interview!  It sure is fun to watch and listen as each decides how he/she wants to answer each question, and draw a quick picture of something he/she likes to do in the winter!

Happy 4th Birthday Molly! Thank you for sharing your special day with us!

As a part of Molly's birthday celebration, she got to paint a special picture (she chose purple and blue as her colors today). As each friend celebrates his/her birthday, I will hang his/her painting on the wall.  By May we should have 1 large, beautiful painting!

Yay for sunny Thursday mornings that get us outside for large motor time!

We were quite excited to even find some ice on the playground...

We settled in to enjoy two books reminding us what winter is all about...even though it can be super cold, it can still be tons of fun!

We eased back into preschool with a second round of free choice time...check out some of our many choices for today!

Dancing while following directions...

"good junk" art...

As always...building with blocks and legos...

And...yay...we had our kitchen back...

Then...we finally had the chance to get our wiggles out on the "big kid" playground again!

During Jesus Time today we learned about Jesus' first time visiting the temple.  While at the temple Jesus sat with teachers, learning about God's word.  We learn about God's word from the Bible.  The Bible is God's word.  It tells us how much God loves us and about Jesus forgiving us!

Thank you for checking out our day!
