We had a fun Tuesday in Mrs. Mudd's Class!

One quick reminder...

Vacation Bible School at Zion...Venture to “Rainforest Falls" at VBS from June 15-19. We will discover the nature of God, and explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with their creator. Children who are 3 years old (and potty-trained) by June 15, 2026 up to children entering 6th grade in the 2026-2027 school year are invited to participate. On to our day...

Our bulbs have grown since last week!!!  We are SOOOOO excited to get to take them home today...

Tricky Mouse was back and he brought squirrels with letters on them. We did a great job of identifying/recognizing letter names and sounds to find that tricky mouse (each time he hid from us)!

Some of these little critters are still holding on as larvae, some have entered the pupa stage...we are excited to see them ALL enter the pupa stage any day now!!!  The yellow one had just shed it's last "skin" and was in the very beginning stages of the pupa phase. It's quite rare that we actually get to see this happen!!! The darker one is fully in the pupa stage...

We took a little time discussing the four stages of a ladybug again. Stage 3 is the pupa.  After some observation, each friend drew stage 3 in his/her lifecycle of a ladybug journal.  We are quite excited to see metamorphosis take place from pupa to ladybug in our classroom!

What a fun day on the playground...exploring, digging for worms, and playing with friends...all we needed was our rain boots!!!

Time for small groups (centers)!

We strengthened the finger, wrist, and hand muscles as we cut plastic straws with scissors...

Oh no!!! Our caterpillar needed some help being put back together!  His body is numbered from 1 - 20, our job was to put him back in order from 1 - 20 or 20 - 1!  Success for some was leading the group, asking for the next number. Success for others was finding the next number and placing it next in our "caterpillar puzzle".

We improved our writing and drawing skills as we wrote/drew about something fun we are looking forward to this summer...

It's been a bit since we used the parking lot playground for large motor time...it was as fun as we remembered!

During Jesus time today we heard the happy, sad, surprising story of Jesus, after being alive again for 40 days, going back to His home in heaven. He promised that He will come back some day. Until then, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we have a job to tell others the good news!

That's a wrap on our Tuesday!
