Here we go...

We sure had fun with our "Zoom Call" dress day...business on top, jammies on the bottom!

Many friends are still excited to see magnatiles out during free choice time!  A super fun way to improve hand-eye coordination while recognizing 2D and 3D shapes!

These friends worked hard on their block center creations!

Look at that teamwork, concentration, and hand-eye coordination!

It was time to see what we remember about positional words!  I had 5 cards, each with a different positional word.  Friends got to "pick a card, any card".  I would read the card aloud and he/she would place his/her body in relation to Thea, our messenger for the day!

Today we introduced the letter "D" and number "4"!

We remembered start your letter "at the top" then big line down, big curve to write a "D" and little line down, little line across, and big line down to write a "4"! Then we came up with words that start with "D" and found "4's" around the room!

Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "D" we can add it to our big letter.  Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with a "D", bring it in and he/she can tape it to our big letter!

It was still a bit on the chilly side this morning, but we bundled up and got our bodies moving outside!

Time for small groups (centers)!

With me, we sorted pom poms.  I did my best to only observe for third quarter math portfolios!!! Success for many was being able to sort by color, by size or both with no assistance. Success for others was being able to sort by color or by size, with some guidance!

With Mrs. Ingles we expressed creativity and improved small motor control as we created our bags for Valentines day!

We improved rhyming skills as we made tiny puzzles by matching up 2 words/pictures that rhyme!

We improved letter identification and writing skills as we wrote "winter" words from our word wall in our journals!

We enjoyed large motor time in the nice, dry, warm gym!!!

During Jesus Time we heard the story of Jesus feeding the Five Thousand!  He made enough food for 5,000 people from one boy's small lunch!  Only a miracle that Jesus could make happen!  We remembered that God always provides for us.  He gives us food and drink, clothes and home, help when we are sick, and a family to love us!  And He gave us Jesus to care for us and to take away our sins!

Enjoy your evening!
