We had a great Thursday in Mrs. Mudd's class!

Lucas jumped for joy when he found out he got to decorate his birthday crown for next week!

Another fun morning at the easel, strengthening the muscles needed for successful writing!

Puppet shows are great to express feelings in a comfortable setting!

These ladies enjoyed a little social time and they made "breakfast"!

Oliver's perseverance helped him finish filling the geoboard with many little squares...

Cody sure wished this ice cream was the real deal!

Science Time...

We dove into a great book, "Who Sank the Boat?".  We noticed by looking at the picture that it must not have been the donkey or cow. We thought probably another animal, but we weren't sure, so we decided that maybe if we read the book we could find out.  We learned by the end of the book that mouse sank the boat.  But, was it really mouse, or the combination of all five animals being in the boat, since mouse was the smallest and lightest?

After reading the book, I laid out many different items and a tub of water. We explored them a bit, then each friend was given an item to predict and test if it would float or sink (Many items that we thought would float, actually sank).  Next week we will look at pictures of different boats, and design/draw a boat that each friend will then create with aluminum foil! Stay tuned in the next weeks to see what we create, and if our boats float or sink?!?!?

The ground was wet, but the weather cooperated for us to be outside...

Time for small groups (centers)!

A blank piece of paper...what can you create all on your own???

With Mrs. Dose, friends worked on part 2 of our winter scene art.  They worked with crayons to finish our scene.  Each friend drew the body parts or clothes for his/her snowman.  Then could also add other items (a snowy hill or trees) to create a wintery background.

We improved our balance while also practicing letter identification and letter sounds!  As, each friend stepped over a letter, he/she said the letter name and gave the letter sound.

After our hard work making "snow" the last week, we got to explore and play in the snow...and we didn't even have to bundle up!

The sun made an appearance during large motor time #2!

During Jesus Time today we learned that Jesus has the power to save people from death, keeping them alive.  But, sometimes he saves them a different way, granting them eternal life in heaven with Him.  We may be sad, missing them here on earth.  But they are happy in heaven with no pain and sadness!

Have a great night.
