We had a wonderful half day Wednesday!
I loved to see friends bringing Jesus to all parts of the day! Sophia made a cross, just like they put Jesus on!
Different friends have been enjoying the puppet theater each day...a great way to interact with others in an informal setting!
Some friends enjoyed expressing creativity with "good junk"!
We strengthened finger, wrist, and hand muscles while popping bubble wrap!
Time to sort by color again!
Aiden and Ben wondered...which dinosaur will hit the ground first? We learned...it's just like the balls we dropped last week...they hit the ground at the same time!
We headed off to chapel, led by Mrs. Hoehner and her class. First they taught us a new Easter song! Then we talked about what we want to be when we grow up...
A fireman?
A doctor?
A construction worker?
A police officer?
Do you know what job you can do now and as a grown up? Go and make disciples...go and tell others Jesus is alive! Tell other that "WE LOVE JESUS!"
We began brainstorming...what do we need to build our pet store...
Today we introduced the letter "Y"!
We remembered start your letter "at the top" then little line down diagonal, big line down diagonal to write a "Y"! Then we came up with words that start with "Y"!
Anytime one of our friends thinks of a word that starts with "Y" we can add it to our big letter. Or, if at home, your child sees a small picture or item that starts with a "Y", bring it in and he/she can glue it to our big letter!
Then we practiced writing "Y" with our special handwriting without tears crayons (nice and short to reinforce proper grip)!
Time for small groups (centers)!
Last week a few friends noticed our tree was beginning to blossom...
So..we completed our 4th observational drawing (spring) of the tree outside our classroom!
We improved our writing skills as we wrote "spring" words (from our word wall) in our journals.
"We can read!"
We found environmental print that we could "read" and improved our small motor control as we glued each to our paper.
We then spent the rest of our half day enjoying the awesome weather for large motor time!
