Thanks for stopping by our Thursday in preschool...
We were very curious about our new building "blocks", interlox! We did some experimenting today to see exactly how they work, and what we might be able to create with them!
We also still very much enjoy building with cups...great for improving problem solving skills and patience!
Wiggle worm was here to welcome the start of baseball season!!! If a friend picked a number on a baseball, that friend said the number aloud. Then I gave the class an activity to complete that number of times.
Time for one solder kick!
If a wiggle worm was picked...
WIGGLE, WIGGLE, WIGGLE...and FREEZE! A great way to practice self regulation, having to stop and freeze when having so much fun wiggling!
We had a special chapel service that took us on a journey, reminding us of everything Jesus did for us so long ago!
We each created a heart with a cross on it, to remind us of Jesus love for us...
We then received a nail to put through the heart, as a reminder that Jesus died for us on the cross to save us from our sins...
And...the sun was out, and so were we!!!
Next week, ladybug larva will be new to the classroom! To prepare for their arrival we enjoyed two informational books about ladybugs...
Time for small groups (centers)!
Our bunnies (with numbers on them) returned this week. These bunnies were going to help us practice our numbers and counting! With Mrs. Mudd, each friend was given a bunny, told her the number on it, then fed his/her bunny that number of jelly beans. We decided that real bunnies should not eat jelly beans, that would not be healthy!
With Mrs. Dose we practiced letter identification, letter sounds and proper formation of letters as we wrote letters in shaving cream with our fingers!
We helped Clifford put his alphabet puzzle back together again! A great way to plan and work together while improving spatial awareness and recognizing letters.
So...we did something exciting today...we ventured to the big kid playground to try out their big slides! Everyone tried the gray one, then everyone tried the red one, finally your choice...
Mrs. Mudd even tried one ;o)
Thanks for checking out our day...have a safe and Happy Easter!
