Mrs. Mudd's class wishes you a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Two quick reminders:

There is NO school on Thursday, 11/27 and Friday, 11/28!

Christmas Giving Project...Each year the students and families of Zion have the opportunity to donate to a charity during the Christmas season.  This year, our class is going to donate toys to St. Louis Children's Hospital.  These toys are used in various places throughout the hospital including children's playrooms, emergency unit, radiology, Same Day Surgery, etc.   Your child will have the opportunity to donate new, unwrapped toy(s) until Friday, December 19th.  The following Monday, Dec. 22nd, the toys will be delivered to Children's Hospital.  (Please see the email sent on Sunday, 11/23 for a list of MOST WANTED items!)

A few of our friends still had to find out "How Many Turkeys Tall Are You?" for morning check in.
Each child then found that number on the turkey graph and wrote his/her name in the correct column. (Using non-standard forms of measurement is an early math skill)

Still a bit tough to see, but as of today, we had the chance to discuss that we have 7 friends that are 11 turkeys tall, 10 friends that are 12 turkeys tall, and 1 friend that is 13 turkeys tall.  We learned that 12 turkeys has the most, while 13 turkeys has the least.  (The ability to understand more, less, and the same is an early math skill)

Aiden and Ben were so excited to have created a wall using all the blocks!!!

Yay for more puppet shows!!!

Savannah and Korrinne were improving fine motor control creating with scissors and stickers!

It's a bird...it's a plane...it's a BEE!!!  Buzzzzzzzz!

Time for more of the class to vote for the name of our puppet theater!!!

We decided, so far, "Funny Theater" has the most votes with 10, and "Kermit's Theater" and "Preschool Puppets" are the same with 4.  (Understanding more, less, and the same is an early math skill). We are excited to see what the "winner" will be once the rest of the class has voted (we still need 2 more votes)!

We loved having a "Frozen" dance party in the commons this morning!

The "Feast" (vs. 2) is ready for Preschool...

And...look who's ready for a Thanksgiving Feast (vs. 2)!!!

We had the best time gathering with our friends from ALL 6 preschool classes!  It was just like the first Thanksgiving, complete with Pilgrims and Indians!

We then gathered with our friends from Mrs. Douglas' class to learn all about Thanksgiving from The Berenstain Bears.  We loved getting to watch "The Prize Pumpkin".

To wrap up our short day, we had some fun in the gym with Mrs. Helmkamp's class!

During Jesus Time Zippy came to tell us he had made a new friend!  At first he was so nervous to play with someone new, what if he didn't like Zippy?  But, guess what they got along GREAT! God helped him and gave him courage.  Just like He helps us in many ways, sometimes in ways we don't even expect!
